On a journey that can only be described as one of the monomyth variety, So Kindly emerges from the grass-root origins of small town, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Committed to his vulnerability and a protector of honesty in songwriting So Kindly weaves through themes of love, loss and the human condition all characterized by his African upbringing - quickly captivating the hearts of those who cross paths with the music, converting even the most casual of onlookers into ardent supporters of a man chasing a dream.
Providing a rush of warm instrumentals, dynamic arrangements, lush guitar and distinct, earthy vocals telling it how it is, So Kindly's musicscape is reminiscent of Springsteen, Dire Straights and Paul Simon, all the while harnessing the essentials of modern radio-ready contemporary music.
Already making a significant impact, with over 5 million streams, 500,000 yearly listeners, and appearances on over 40,000 playlists on Spotify alone, 1883 Magazine describes him as "An emerging talent to keep an eye on." His releases "Send Me a Sign" and "The River" earnt him widespread recognition featuring in magazines and blogs such as; Notion, 1883 Magazine and Wonderland. So Kindly's more recent releases “Burning For You" and “Easy On Me" have gained significant traction - being added to well over 4000 playlists within months of their release. In late 2022, So Kindly joined forces with gold-record producer Jonathan Gilbert travelling to Los Angeles to record new material at Gilbert's studio, Wildflower Sound. The two crafted a fresh rock-inspired sound that amalgamates the charm and vulnerability of So Kindly's earlier work with modern music innovation. These songs lift the veil, offering an intimate look at the sacrifices, struggles, and heartache that come with pursuing one's life's calling.
Since the release of these songs, So Kindly is now based in Berlin, looking to take on the European market, where the majority of his listenership is. He has played a variety of shows within the city of Berlin, including “Sofar Sounds” and “Gezellig Sessions" aswell as supporting Jeremy Loops on tour and opening for Jonah Kagen in Germany. His latest offering the "Easy On Me" EP was a break through piece of work solidifying his listenership and fan base across Europe and the United States having garnered millions of streams over the course of a year.
His new single "Do What I Can" (June 05 2026) explores a more intimate rootsy sound that is set to deepen his connection with fans and once again illuminate his charm and vulnerability through his unique songwriting.
